Light Occurrences

Sadly, due to events occurring this day we were given very limited time to complete all the tasks. The initial task for this branch of the art pathway was to record light occurrences throughout the building; the light could be artificial or natural. Due to the time constraints, I was unable to capture as many photos as I would have liked.

In the first photo, I found these objects arranged on the windowsill and I really like how the natural lighting caused them to cast a small shadow. I also really like how bright the light is on the left of the image.

The second and third images were created by using a light projector, so artificial light. Both also used coloured film and I chose to incorporate that to see the effect light has on colour. I think of the two my favourite is the third one, for the reason that I really like the shadow of the pattern I draped over the projector. I think that this creates an interesting texture in the photo that is contrasted by the negative space in the photo.

The last photo is my personal favourite of the four, because I really like the effect the peeled tape on the window has on the photo and I like how direction the lines are going in compliment the direction the stairway is going in. I do think however, that it does not really fit the theme of the task I had to do, whilst the other three do.
